Life is a BEAUTIFUL struggle.
This website is dedicated to all the men and women I've impacted and to those who work tirelessly for a better life, understanding that success is earned, never given.
In 2017, I graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. Shortly after, I began my professional career at California State Prison, Sacramento, where I served long-term offenders by counseling them in Anger Management, Victim Impact, Denial Management, and Criminal Thinking. My goal was to equip incarcerated individuals with the skills, tools, and competencies needed for the Board of Parole Hearings.
In 2021, I transitioned careers to assist individuals on parole, probation, and supervised release. I have helped over 500 individuals find employment after their release from prison. Hearing "Marlene, I got the job!" reflects the impact of my work.
Today, I have reached a milestone in my life by securing an amazing and heartfelt career with the California Department of Justice, a role that aligns perfectly with my values and mission.
Over the years, I have also served as a personal career coach for friends, family, and colleagues, continuously striving to help others through various career assignments. I have successfully revamped resumes, enhanced interview skills, and positively impacted confidence levels.
In honor of helping more than 500 individuals find employment, I aim to continue serving as a Career Development Expert, offering my services to those in need.
I will continue to impact lives and spread my career development wisdom and guidance wherever I go.
Your Coach,
Marlene
